Our annual Trunk-or-Treat is October 27 after worship! To participate or help pass out goodies, please click the link and RSVP. Candy & treat donations are needed, and can be dropped off in the collection bin in the Atrium. Any questions? Email Ms. Deb, our Director of Christian Education. We can’t wait to see you there!
New Landscaping
from Doug Janzti, Vice Chair of Trustees
The trustees started to notice a few years ago that the landscaping in front of the church was beginning to look overgrown and tired, particularly the two blue spruce. So, we had a landscaper draw up a plan and give us a price… but it was low on our budget priority list. Then we received a donation specifically for improving the way the church looks from the road (including landscaping!). The donation wasn’t enough to cover the cost, but it was a good start. Then another donation came in, bringing the total to 90% of what was needed, and we decided to move ahead.
Work has already begun. Walk out and take a look! But there’s still the remaining 10% of the cost. Are you interested in making a contribution to this project, or a memorial to someone with a particular boulder, tree, or shrub? Contact us! Our October Power of One will also benefit this project.
Thank you for your support!
Pumpkin Spice Fellowship Hour
‘Tis the season for pumpkin spice! On Sunday October 13, join us after worship for coffee (with pumpkin spice creamer, of course!) and pumpkin spice treats! Not into pumpkin? We’ll have hot apple cider available too!
If you would like to volunteer to provide treats for the Pumpkin Spice Fellowship Hour, please contact Pastor Candy.
Wesley Women’s Group
The Wesley Women’s Group will be starting up for the year again, beginning this Monday September 23 at 6:00 PM in the Youth Lounge. Our first meeting will be a social gathering with fall-themed snacks and drinks. We will be catching up on our summer adventures and figuring out our plans for the year. All are welcome to join us!
Wesley Women’s Group meets weekly on Monday nights from September through May (with breaks for holidays and the Bethlehem Emergency Shelter dinners). We discuss books and Bible studies, work on service projects, and have fun chitchatting. We are always looking for fun new ideas of things to do together! Feel free to drop in any time (just remember to check the calendar on the church website to ensure we are meeting that week).
For more information, please contact Sarah Campbell.
Youth Group Corn Maze
Join us on Saturday October 5 for a Corn Maze! We’ll meet at the church at 6:00 PM and travel to Mazezilla to enjoy the hayride and corn maze. There are also lots of other fun things to do — tube slide, hay fort, tire mountain, petting zoo, and food! We will return to the church around 10:00 PM. Please bring a flashlight, your Youth Group Consent Form, and $14 for the hayride and maze (and funds are available if you’re concerned about the cost!). To RSVP, please email Brian, our Minister to Youth, by October 3.
Can’t wait to see you there! It will be A–MAZE–ING!!!
Wesley Youth Group is open to all youth from 6th through 12th grades.
