If you typically worship from home via our weekly livestream, we want to offer you the opportunity to receive communion even at home! If you would like to receive communion elements for those weeks when we are celebrating communion in worship, please contact Pastor Candy.
Sing With Us!
Jubilation Singers
The Jubilation Singers are a group of people from high school age through to adult, who lead the traditional music in worship. Rehearsals resume on Wednesday September 11, 7:15-8:30 PM, in the Sanctuary. They rehearse every Wednesday and sing most Sundays of the month from September through early June. The Jubilation Singers are always looking for people who want to make a joyful noise and praise God through singing. Please contact Becky Graybeal, our Director of Music, to ask any questions or to express an interest in singing.
JAM Choir
The Jesus And Me (JAM) Choir is a group of 2nd-8th graders who sing in worship a few times a year. There are 3-4 rehearsals to prepare for each time they sing. The rehearsals are in the Sanctuary on certain Sundays after worship (11:15-11:45 AM). Information will be coming soon regarding the first set of rehearsals. For more information, or to sign your children up to sing in the choir, please contact Becky Graybeal.
Pray for Our Preschool!
We are overjoyed to welcome the children of Wesley’s Circle of Friends Preschool back for another amazing year of learning! This week, we’ll be connecting with families during Parent Night (Tuesday September 3), hosting both the students and their families for a special Welcome Day (Wednesday September 4), and celebrating the first day of school (Thursday September 5). On these important days, please pray for our preschoolers, families, and teachers.
Want to get more involved with the preschool? Contact Susan Matacavage for more information about volunteer opportunities.
Volunteers Needed at the Outreach Depot
We need your hands and feet! As we enter our 15th year of serving families and individuals in crisis, the Lehigh Valley Outreach Depot is in need of help. Our volunteer ranks have decreased over the past year as several of our original volunteers have “retired.” We have had to close twice this summer due to a shortage of volunteers needed to process our clients.
Can you spare a few hours a month to be a part of this ministry? The Depot is open Tuesdays and Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Our greatest need is on Saturday, both to guide our clients and to help load their trucks with the items that will help them get back on their feet.
Volunteers come in all ages and abilities. High school students needing volunteer hours are welcome, as are all those with a heart for service! Schedules are flexible. Choose one day a month, or come every week. It’s up to you!
Come give it a try! You can live out the call to be the “hands and feet of God” in a meaningful way. Contact Becky Hess via email or leave a message at the Depot (610-351-1616).
