Are you interested in good, meaningful dialogue about race and faith? You are invited to join Sacred Ground, an interfaith series of Zoom-based discussions. Sessions will take place every other Monday in the afternoon (1:30-3:00 PM) or evening (7:00-8:30 PM), beginning August 31, and will continue into the new year. A preview Zoom session will take place on Monday August 17. For more information, please contact Cheryl Boots.
Capital Campaign Fundraiser: Flowers!

Fill your home with flowers while contributing to the Wesley Church capital campaign! Beginning this Sunday in the Atrium, browse a selection of flower arrangements that have been handcrafted and donated by Wesley’s own Doug Jantzi. When you purchase one of these flower arrangements, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to our capital campaign! Each arrangement will be marked with a suggested donation. To purchase, please put your donation in the marked envelope and place it in the basket.
Help Needed at the Depot

Urgent! Muscle is needed on Saturdays at the Lehigh Valley Outreach Depot. August is vacation time for many of our volunteers. It’s also a busy time as families are relocating from shelters and other temporary living situations ahead of the school year. Our urgent need is for strong individuals to help load clients’ trucks to take their furniture home. Can you spare a few Saturday hours to help out? A few hours, a few Saturdays, a few months – any donated time is appreciated! We are an approved BASD community service nonprofit.
For more information, or to volunteer, please leave a message at the Depot at 610-351-1616 or email Becky Hess.
Year-Round Giving Tree: Items Due

In the spirit of Christmas in July, this month’s Giving Tree includes a variety wish list of some of the most requested items for the Mammy’s Angels “Santa’s Helpers” program. This holiday gift-giving program services over 500 individuals throughout our community. We will be collecting items now through August 2. To donate an item, pick a tag from the tree and leave your donation under the tree. For more information, please contact Mammy’s Angels.

Summer Harvest Food Drive Continues!

This summer, we have the opportunity to help neighbors who are hungry or underresourced… by participating in the Summer Harvest Food Drive! Each week throughout the month of July, we will be collecting specific food and personal items. Summer Harvest volunteers will pick up these items and distribute them to local food pantries. This week (July 26) we will collect canned soups and laundry detergent. Please bring your donation items to church on the designated Sundays and place them in the marked containers. (Please check expiration dates before you drop them off!) For more information, contact the church office.
