Backpack Program Clothing Drive Deadline

Our Backpack Team is holding a Clothing Drive fundraiser to benefit our annual “We Got Your Back” backpack program. Please bag all donation items in kitchen-size 13-gallon bags. Bags can be placed in the clothing drive closet near the education wing. Deadline for donations is October 22. Thank you for your support!

Jubilation Singers and Audience of One Praise Band

Rehearsals for the Jubilation Singers, the traditional choir (ages high school to adult), are underway! The Jubilation Singers rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 PM in the sanctuary. The group is always looking for people who want to make a joyful noise and praise God through singing!

ARK Bells and JAM Choir Begin This Week!

ARK, the Children’s Chime Choir (for children from 2nd through 5th grade) will begin rehearsing on Sunday September 24, 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM, in the music room. Contact Chris Perfetti for more information or to sign up. 

JAM, the Children/Youth Singing Choir (for children & youth from kindergarten through 8th grade) will begin rehearsing on Sunday September 24, 11:15 to 11:45 AM in the sanctuary. The rehearsal schedule and dates for singing in worship will be shared soon. Please contact Becky Graybeal for more information or to sign up.  

“Sacred Ground” Group Now Forming

A new “Sacred Ground” group is forming in our area! Sacred Ground, a ministry rooted in the Episcopal Church, is an ecumenical film- and reading-based dialogue focusing on race and faith. Sessions will take place every other Monday evening via Zoom, beginning August 28. Afternoon sessions (1:30-3:00 PM) and evening sessions (7:00-8:30 PM) are available. Get Your Wesley Travel Mug!

When we rolled out our new coffee mugs earlier this year, many asked if we were planning to offer travel versions of the mugs for purchase. We’re happy to share that travel mugs are now here! Each 12-ounce insulated stainless steel mug costs $20. Mugs may be purchased from Susan at the welcome desk on Sunday mornings after worship, or from the church office throughout the week. Please make checks payable to “Wesley United Methodist Church.”
