Dear Wesley family:
 
Last month we provided you with a basic summary of our financial condition. We highlight a few things:
 
We have come through the challenges of Covid in a good financial position. So, What do we mean? : Giving income has come close to meeting our basic operational expenses!
We hope for a Christmas Season filled with blessings, gratitude, and generosity.
 
We are finalizing the draft budget for 2022. Of course, this is a process of making careful estimates based on the past, as well as expectations for the coming year. We are forecasting a small deficit of ($18,000). We believe we can meet this obligation together.
 
Our building needs some capital investment and repairs.  We will need to raise capital funds in addition to operational funds (which fund the budget).  As ever, generosity is our challenge and our calling!
 
Our collective gratitude and generosity sustained church operations and we have some savings because of granted funds under PPP1 and PPP2.
 
We have a mortgage liability on our church building.
 
In January,  we will update you on how we closed our year financially, our giving, and goals for the coming year.

You can come retrieve your kits by following the below instructions:

o    All pickups will be at the front entrance of the Luminaria warehouse, located at: 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem – Ste. 180 –enter through the front door. The below chart identifies the dates and times that you can come to retrieve your ordered kits.

This year you can place your poinsettia order online using this form, or in person on Sunday morning.

You have the choice of either taking your plant home with you after the service or donating it to the Congregational Care Team and they will deliver those plants to our shut-ins and others struggling during this holiday season. Either way, the poinsettia(s) that you purchase will help brighten our sanctuary through Christmas!

The price per plant is $10.00. As in other years you may also make a donation to UMCOR in honor or memory of your loved ones.

There’s still time to join us for the 2021 Advent Study! On Tuesday, December 7 at 6:30 PM, we’ll explore the primetime classic A Charlie Brown Christmas. We’ll gather in the sanctuary to watch the movie together, then break out into small groups for discussion (and activities for children, too). And don’t forget to mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 14, and our final “Advent in Primetime” installment: Prep and Landing!

Save the dates for our 2021 Advent Study, “Advent in Primetime!” During each session, we’ll enjoy some primetime holiday classics and new holiday favorites, followed by breakout discussions for adults and special activities for kids. Come for any or all of the sessions!

Advent study sessions will take place on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM beginning November 30.
