This week, the weather finally cooperated and we were able to participate in New Bethany Ministries’ Luminaria Night! It is such a gift to join in this city-wide glow for such a good cause. Even Santa helped place a few luminaries! Many thanks to Deb Silliman, our Director of Children’s Ministries, for coordinating this event.

Don’t let cost be a factor. All attendees are welcome. Questions? Contact Sue Kiefner.
“Power of One” for New Bethany Ministries
“Power of One” Update
During the month of January, our Power of One offering will benefit the work of New Bethany Ministries. Thank you for your generosity!
Luminaria Night will take place (once and for all!) on SUNDAY 12/19.
Sunday will be a beautiful evening! Please contact Deb Silliman to volunteer; help is needed to assemble the kits and place them along the driveway. We will begin setting out the luminaries at 4 pm.
Read more information about our Luminaria Night on our website.
Luminaria kits include 10 white bags, 10 candles, and sand (if needed). Money will go directly to help New Bethany Ministries offer hope and support to people who experience poverty, hunger, and homelessness.

Finance Update
Dear Wesley family:
Last month we provided you with a basic summary of our financial condition. We highlight a few things:
We have come through the challenges of Covid in a good financial position. So, What do we mean? : Giving income has come close to meeting our basic operational expenses!
We hope for a Christmas Season filled with blessings, gratitude, and generosity.
We are finalizing the draft budget for 2022. Of course, this is a process of making careful estimates based on the past, as well as expectations for the coming year. We are forecasting a small deficit of ($18,000). We believe we can meet this obligation together.
Our building needs some capital investment and repairs. We will need to raise capital funds in addition to operational funds (which fund the budget). As ever, generosity is our challenge and our calling!
Our collective gratitude and generosity sustained church operations and we have some savings because of granted funds under PPP1 and PPP2.
We have a mortgage liability on our church building.
In January, we will update you on how we closed our year financially, our giving, and goals for the coming year.
Thank you. We wish you blessings for the Christmas Season and thank you for your generous support of our many Wesley Ministries.
In Christ’s service,
The finance team
Photo Sessions This Sunday
For many of us, our holiday traditions include posing for a photo in front of our beautiful poinsettia tree. This year, we’ll help make those photos happen! On Sunday December 11 after worship, two of our Wesley Church photographers will be available in the atrium to take photos in front of the poinsettia tree. The images will be returned to you by Christmas, free of charge. No sign-ups needed! Just meet our photographers in the atrium after worship this Sunday.
