We’ve done Christmas in July… so why not summer in January? Join us for a summery indoor picnic, now rescheduled for Sunday January 21 after worship, sponsored by the Wesley Men’s Group. The men’s group will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, and beverages. Please bring a potluck side dish or dessert to complete our out-of-season meal! Have a special baked bean recipe? Our picnic will also include a baked bean cookoff and tasting! Also, we invite you to bring lawn games (ladder toss, corn hole, and more) — we’ll set these games up throughout the church (and may even organize some competitions, too!). For more information, please contact Rich Chambers. |
Backpack Clothing Drive: Drop-offs this Sunday!
The Backpack Team appreciates everyone’s support for our biannual clothing drive! We understand that many of you like to be able to bring in your bags of items as you clean out your homes and not just during our fall and spring collections. With that in mind (and to make things a little easier on our Backpack team members), we are no longer collecting the bags in the alcove in the Atrium. Instead, on the first Sunday of each month after worship, the Backpack team will be available at our shed (outdoors, by Fellowship Hall) to collect your items and make sure they are bagged correctly. Upcoming drop-off dates include: April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, and August 4.
If, for whatever reason, you need to drop something off at another time, please contact us to arrange an appointment to drop your items off. Thank you!
Summer Campership Requests: Due This Week!

This Sunday: Garden Cleanup Day
Our Garden Team has organized a garden and shed clean-up for this Sunday, June 30 at 1:00 PM. All are invited to pitch in and help with this effort — you don’t have to be a garden team member! We are going to empty and reorganize the shed, pull weeds, and mulch beds to prepare for our growing season. For more information, or to volunteer, please contact Christine Bell.
