Summer Camp

It’s almost summer… which means it’s almost time for camp! Registration is underway at each of our Eastern PA Conference camps. Spend a week exploring nature and discovering God! Camps are available for children from preschool through 12th grade.
If you register for camp, don’t forget to tell the church office — Pastor Candy has a special surprise for all our Wesley campers!

Church Library

Walk into the Wesley Church Library and look at all those books!
One of them wants to come home with you for a couple of weeks!
There’s a computer, eager to help you find a book. In the Computer Nook is a “To Use” poster, with clues. If you put “PARENTING” in the SUBJECT choice, 138 books are shown.
If you click on the picture of “Talk with Your Kids” the number 649 shows. That’s the Dewey decimal number; there is a shelf with books numbered in the 600’s. That’s where the book is.
If you sign the card in the back pocket, you can put it in the basket near the desk – and go home with the book! In a couple weeks, bring it back and put it in the BOOK RETURN basket on the floor.
And, speaking of buying books, several people have enquired about the timing of our next used book sale. Mark your calendars for the end of September.
Our Friday morning children’s storytimes have started up again. We always enjoy reading to the little ones in Circle of Friends preschool, and we have a fine collection of picture books for them to borrow.

Revelation Study Begins This Week

WHAT: Join us for a six-week study on the book of Revelation!\
WHO: Pastor Steph and anyone with questions, problems, or curiosities
WHEN: The same study will be offered at two different times each week — choose which one works best for you!
Sunday mornings, July 3 – August 7, 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM
Thursday evenings, July 7 – August 11, 6:30 PM – 7:45 PM
WHERE: Wesley Church Library
WHY: Are you confused by the book of Revelation? Are you afraid of the book? Are you wondering how it applies to your own life? You’re not alone. The book of Revelation is perhaps the most misunderstood and most misused book of the Bible. Yet it was originally intended to be one of the most encouraging and hope-filled letters to the early churches. That’s why we are offering a study suited for those who know their scripture by heart, as well as those who might not even own a Bible. Truly all are invited and encouraged to come find out why the book of Revelation is nothing to be afraid of, but rather something to be cherished.
WHAT TO BRING: There is no book to buy, no video to watch. Just bring you, your curiosity, and a Bible if you have one (Pastor Steph will have extras just in case).
For more info, or to sign up, contact Pastor Steph.
Catching Up with Pastor Candy

This week, it was my joy to confirm the sixteen youth from our church who claimed their faith on Confirmation Sunday. I wish our confirmands every blessing on this new stage of their faith journey!
Many thanks to those who served as mentors throughout this eight-month process, guiding these young men and women along the way.
