This month, our Year-Round Giving Tree will benefit the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown. Our goal is to make care packages for the women residents of the shelter. Requested items include: lotion, deodorant, shampoo & conditioner, nail polish, women’s razors, bath towels (new), dish towels (new), dish soap, laundry detergent, and garbage bags (13-gallon size).
The goal of Sixth Street Shelter (a program of Community Action Lehigh Valley) is to assist families experiencing homelessness with secure, safe housing through family-centered services, in-house programming, and referrals to community resources while advocating that affordable housing is a human right.
