Worship

Worshiping at Wesley Church

PastorAndy Krpata

Sunday Mornings

Sunday – the Sabbath — begins our week with worship and learning. It is the time when we come to be fed, to worship, to learn how to follow Jesus.

9:00 am Contemporary Service

Our Ensemble of keyboard, guitar, flute, voice and drums brings music that is tied to the Biblical text of the sermon. The words of the songs are projected so the congregation can know the message of the music and can sing together.

Wesley Church Ensemble

The careful choice of music with Pastor Andy Krpata sermon theme helps bring us to the feet of Jesus and to experience the Risen Christ. The Kinderchor, our children’s voice choir, or the Klang Chor, one of our bell choirs also often bring music to this service.

Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month.

11:00 am Classic Celebration Service

At 11 am each Sunday, glorious classical music, friendly people, and familiar hymns encourage Wesley members and guests to glorify God in a traditional worship service.

Wesley Church Sanctuary

Our classic service features many elements of traditional liturgy and scripture readings, all of which frame Pastor Andy Krpata’s compelling messages. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

Our congregation is called to worship by the Prelude — perhaps Bach or Mendelssohn or Brahms. We sing hymns to the sound of Allan at the pipe organ. The design of the 1680 pipes above the organ console reminds us of the wings of an angel hovering in our midst. The Chancel Choir, our bell choirs — the Celebration Ringers and the Klangchor — and our Kinderchor Children’s Choir also bring us music, as well as soloists and visiting musicians.

Sunday School in Atrium

Join us as we worship God in beautiful song, thought-provoking readings, and insightful sermons.

Masking will remain optional at Wesley Church

In order to help you make an informed decision about your own mitigation practices, Wesley Church will share our county’s updated risk category and the CDC’s corresponding guidelines in each edition of our weekly enews.
We are currently in the “high risk” category. The CDC guidelines for the “high” category are:

Wear a mask indoors in public

Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines

Get tested if you have symptoms

Additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness

Today’s Community Connections

  • If you are interested in providing fresh flowers for worship, please sign up at the Connections Corner table.
  • Feel like you missed something? The Connections Corner table can help. Head across the atrium and get the information you need just under the tv monitor.
  • Don’t receive our Weekly Enews? Please email Pastor Candy at: pastorcandy@wesleychurch.com to get on the list! Or sign up at the Connections Corner table.
  • Do you enjoy being creative with pictures and video?  Do you like telling a story through images?  We are looking for people who enjoy making videos, who can use technology to help represent some of the music we use in worship, and possibly other parts of the worship service such as announcements, testimonies, and more.  If this interests or excites you, please see Becky Graybeal for more details and to get plugged in!
