Women of Wesley Bible Study

MINISTRY ALERT

Soul Reset: Breakdown, Breakthrough and the Journey to Wholeness

Thursdays, 6:30PM

Thursdays, 6:30 PM: May 6 – June 10

Soul Reset calls the church and all of Jesus’ disciples to reset and reorder their lives around spiritual practices, to learn to walk through difficult seasons with our souls connected to the source of Living Water so that we don’t burn out or break down. And if we do burn out or break down, we learn to lift up and point one another back to Jesus.

This 6-week study is for everyone who moves at breakneck speed through daily life, often relying only on their own strength to bring about God’s kingdom on earth. Jesus shows us a different way—an easier, unforced rhythm of what kingdom work looks like. It’s a balance of work, rest, play, worship, exercise, eating well, and participating in spiritual practices that keep our souls hydrated and healthy. Soul Reset: Breakdown, Breakthrough, and the Journey to Wholeness can also be used as a churchwide study and includes companion resources such as a participant’s book; a DVD; downloadable video segments; age-level discussion guides for children, youth, and adults; sermon starters; and an eCourse. Learn more about the companion resources at SoulReset.org.

Sign up below to register to receive a book.

Cost is $14.00 per book.  Don’t let cost be a deterrent. Let us know.

Masking Update for Wesley Church

This week, the CDC moved Northampton County from the “low risk” category to the “high risk” category for COVID-19, bypassing the “medium” category. The CDC’s determinations are based on infection, hospitalization, and mortality rates. At Wesley Church, it is our policy to defer to CDC guidelines. The CDC guidelines for the “high” category are:

Wear a mask indoors in public

Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines

Get tested if you have symptoms

Additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness

For more information, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html

  • Feel like you missed something? The Connections Corner table can help. Head across the atrium and get the information you need just under the tv monitor.
  • Don’t receive our Weekly News? Please email Sue Kiefner at: SueK@wesleychurch.com to get on the list! Or sign up at the Connections Corner table.
  • Do you enjoy being creative with pictures and video?  Do you like telling a story through images?  We are looking for people who enjoy making videos, who can use technology to help represent some of the music we use in worship, and possibly other parts of the worship service such as announcements, testimonies, and more.  If this interests or excites you, please see Becky Graybeal for more details and to get plugged in!
