This month, many of our most food-insecure neighbors are expected to face further struggles without access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, also commonly known as “food stamps”). We are working with our partners at Mammy’s Angels to identify those families within their program who are most at risk in the current situation. If you would like to make a commitment to help a local individual or family by becoming a Food Partner, please contact Pastor Candy. Partnerships will be temporary (initially, the commitment will be for the month of November), and will take the form of purchasing and donating grocery gift cards. If you are in a financial position to offer relief to others, we encourage you to participate.
If you face food insecurity because of the currently-unfolding situation with SNAP benefits and would like to receive relief through the church, please contact Pastor Candy.
