Earlier this year, we were so blessed to have our Muslim neighbors from the Lehigh Dialogue Center invite us to share in their sacred celebration of Ramadan. In the spirit of interfaith dialogue, community, and friendship, we seek to return the favor by inviting those neighbors to join us for a special celebration during the holy season of Advent. On Saturday December 13 at 2:30 PM, we’ll gather for an Interfaith Nativity Celebration!
Hear the Story!
We’ll gather in the Sanctuary for a nativity program, where we’ll retell the story of Christmas by hearing scriptures (in English and in Turkish), singing beloved Christmas carols, and inviting volunteers to re-enact parts of the story.
Enjoy Sweet Treats!
After the nativity program, we’ll enjoy cookies and cocoa in the Atrium, where we’ll have the opportunity to view a display of nativity scenes.
Shine a Light!
Once we’ve had our fill of cookies and cocoa, we invite you to stick around to set up our church’s Luminaria display as part of New Bethany’s community Luminaria Night.
Volunteers are needed to bake cookies, prepare cocoa, and provide nativity scenes for display. To volunteer, please visit our online signup.
