Easter Masks
On Easter, Ellie and I often color-coordinate our Easter dresses. This year, we’re color-coordinating in a different way. Earlier this week, state and federal government officials enhanced their social distancing guidelines, recommending that all individuals wear face masks when leaving home. So this week, I pulled out my sewing machine, rooted through the house for fabric, thread, and elastics, and sewed a few masks for my immediate and extended family members. Ellie and I now have color-coordinated Easter masks, rather than color-coordinated Easter dresses. (For what it’s worth, Ellie loves her mask and refused to take it off!) Easter certainly looks different this year… but I give thanks that my family is still healthy and safe. Stay safe, friends… and Happy Easter!
