Harvest 2022, the final totals are in! This year, the gardeners of Wesley Church provided 432 pounds of fresh produce to our friends at New Bethany Ministries. Many thanks to all who organized, planted, watered, weeded, and delivered produce to address food insecurity in our community. We are grateful for your efforts!
Grow in Generosity
2023 Pledge
At Wesley Church, our life-changing ministries could not take place without your support. We are grateful for your generosity! It is our hope that you will not only continue that support in the coming year, but that you will also make a plan — a pledge — to do so. Pledging materials have been sent through the mail. We invite you to review them, pray about your plans, and bring (or mail) your completed pledge card to the church by Sunday November 20. If you did not receive pledge materials this year, please contact the church office.
Catching Up with Pastor Candy
This week, I experienced double the joy as I participated in both our preschool and church “Trunk of Treat” programs! Many thanks to all who donated candy, decorated trunks, handed out treats, and brought their children to enjoy these special celebrations. It is truly a joy to celebrate these moments as a church family!
Introduction to Christ Servant Ministry (CSM)
Do you want to grow in your faith and be better equipped to serve? An in-person “Introduction to Christ Servant Ministry” course will be offered on Saturday December 3, 9 AM – 4 PM at Fallsington UMC. This one-day training (including written preparation from the CSM Student Guide prior to the day of the class) will serve as your Basic Christ Servant Minister training. For more information, contact Judy Ehninger, the conference program coordinator.
Penny Wars 2022
Announcing the matchup for this year’s edition of Penny Wars: Graybeal vs. Graybeal! Becky Graybeal (Wesley’s Director of Music) and Brian Graybeal, Wesley’s Minister to Youth, will go head-to-head this year for a great cause. The jars will appear in the atrium this Sunday! Proceeds from this year’s Penny Wars will help defray the costs of relationship-building & faith-forming activities through this year’s “Year of the Table” program.
Penny Wars is a game of friendly sabotage through donations of coins and cash. Pennies are positive points, and all other coins and cash are negative points. (A quarter, for example, is -25 points, and a $5 bill is -500 points.) Put your pennies in the jar of the competitor you want to win the penny war, and all other donations in the jar of the competitor you want to sabotage. At the end, the competitor with the most points (not necessarily the most money!) will be declared the winner — and the other competitor will get a pie in the face!
The penny jars will be available on Sundays in October. We’ll announce the winner on Sunday November 6, and celebrate with the pie-in-the-face on Sunday November 13.
Celebration Ringers are Back!
