In ministry, every day brings something different, and this week was no exception! This week was one of high tech / low tech balance. I spent some of my time this week meeting with our church livestream volunteers to introduce the new technology (see photo below) that will enable us to enhance our livestream worship and offer vibrant hybrid worship well into the future.
Later in the week, I went more low tech — planting seeds with my children, with the eventual goal of planting the seedlings in my Wesley Community Garden plot. I’m not blessed with a green thumb, but I have a willing spirit — so we’ll see how it goes!
Perhaps you need some high tech / low tech balance in your life, too. If so, consider joining our Sunday morning tech team! While the equipment may look a bit complicated, in reality it’s as easy as pressing a button or two. (Many thanks to Guy Silliman for his work in setting up the new system!) At the same time, consider rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty in our community garden. Last year, we were able to donate over a quarter of a ton of fresh produce to area food pantries and soup kitchens… but there’s no reason we can’t exceed that this year, with your help! (Many thanks to Jason Walters for all of his organizing and efforts to make our garden ministry a reality!)
Interested in serving in one or both of these ways? Whether you’re interested in getting your hands on some new tech or your hands in the dirt, just reply and we’ll get you connected.
Blessings
