It’s time for Penny Wars! This year’s matchup? It’s an Usher (& Greeter) Showdown!
| But this year, we’re raising the stakes. This year, our Penny War is… a Dollar War! Between now and Sunday October 26, bring in your coins and cash and place them in our competitors’ jars. How does it work? Donations in each competitor’s jar earn points. Dollars add points (+100 points per dollar bill), while change and other bills subtract points (-5 points per nickel, -500 points per $5 bill, etc.). It’s a game of friendly sabotage! At the end of “Penny” Wars, the highest-scoring competitor will be declared the winner… and the lowest-scoring competitor will get a pie in the face! The winner will be announced on Sunday November 2. Join us after worship on Sunday November 9 for the pie-in-the-face fun!What happens to the money? All proceeds from this year’s Penny Wars will be used to repair the sanctuary lighting system. |
