Sunday, June 17th, “It’s Never Too Late”
4th Sunday after Pentecost / Father’s Day
Luke 15 and John 14:6
Bob brings a message not just to our fathers and children, but to all who have struggled through relational brokenness. “It’s never too late…” says a lot. There is hope and healing even in the most difficult circumstances. Listen as the story of the prodigal comes alive again, and we are invited to hear what God whispers to our hearts. Happy Father’s Day as well!
New Summer Worship Series to Begin: Join us for the next 8 weeks in worship as we discuss the Signs of Faith. It’s a a good bet most of us will be taking a trip on vacation or just doing a little traveling this summer. We know those road signs well and what they mean as we travel safely. But have you considered what they mean to us from a spiritual perspective? Grab a “traveling buddy” and join us as we discover the wealth of help these spiritual Signs of Faith can be!
Along with introducing our Signs of Faith series, we’ll join in the fun and celebrate Vacation Bible School, which occurs this week. Looking at the road sign Children at Play, and Zechariah 8:1-8, we’ll remind ourselves of the joy and blessing of the church’s children! Come and hear why the kids are yelling “Jesus rescues!”
Sunday, June 10th, “For Such a Time as This”
Bread for the World Sunday
Deuteronomy 24:19-22, Matthew 25:31-46
Annual act of worship at Wesley Church, we will once again recognize Bread for the World Sunday. This day is an opportunity to ask God to help us acknowledge and do something about children and poverty in our nation and our community. Jason Walters and Clarke Chapman will help lead us in worship.
