Below are photos of sleeping mats made from “plarn,” which is yarn made from reused plastic bags. The Lehigh Valley Health Network will distribute these to the homeless in our area through their “Street Medicine” program. The mats protect people from the cold and dampness of the ground. This past week we delivered our first 6 sleeping mats to this group. They were very enthusiastically received! Mary Long and I have been making mats since early March, and would love some help in making more. They do take some time to complete, but they are not difficult to make. Please contact me if you would like more information about making them, or watch this slideshow and see if it is something you would like to do.

We will need plastic bags in the future, but at the moment we are storing all that we can. If you can hold onto them until we request some, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Matthew 25:40 (God’s Word translation)
“The king will answer them, ‘I can guarantee this truth: Whatever you did for one of my brothers or sisters, no matter how unimportant [they seemed], you did for me.’
