Bible Text: Zechariah 8:1-8 | Preacher: Pastor Andy Krpata | Series: Signs of Faith
Along with introducing our Signs of Faith series, we’ll join in the fun and celelbrate Vacation Bible School, which occurred this week. Samuel’s classic “call” story is more than just a story about him. It’s about his inability to recognize the Lord’s voice, at least for a time. Without Eli, one wonders if he would’ve figured it out. Pentecost=Poured out power on all people. It‘s a Celebration of Church and Faith: confirmation, the birth of the Church and the 50th anniversary of the United Methodist Church will all be recognized and celebrated. Luckily, Peter begins to explain: This is what happens when the Holy Spirit is given. The same is true for us – the church, our confirmands, etc. We need to answer the question… “What Can This Mean?”

This isn’t just something to believe in; it’s something to live out. We worship a living God who is active and moving and present and doing something right now. Think about what it means to believe that—right this minute God is seeking to do something and seeking someone through whom to do it
