GlockenChor
Our GlockenChor is a beginner’s chime choir for children in Second through Sixth Grade. We explore all the elements of a ringing choir in a simplistic and fun manner. There is no need to have a music background before participating in this group. It meets Sunday mornings from September through April in the Music Room situated next to the Atrium. The chime choir provides an opportunity for the Wesley Church children to take an active role in our worship services on a regular basis. The children perform approximately once each month. KinderChor
Our KinderChor is a voice choir for children Pre-K through Sixth Grade. It practices Sunday mornings from September through April in the Library situated next to the Atrium. The choir practice times are full of fun learning as we sing the tunes and explore the meaning of the words. Children’s choirs provide an opportunity for the Wesley Church children to take an active role in our worship services on a regular basis. The children perform approximately once each month. Ensemble
This group provides music for our 9 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service. The music is contemporary as compared to “traditional” hymn singing, accompanied by piano and acoustic guitars. The singing is led by several voices. We use selections from The Faith We Sing, contemporary United Methodist Hymnal, as well as songs and choruses that come from popular, contemporary Christian music. There is congregational singing as well as an anthem each week. The music is selected to connect with the theme of the day as related to scripture, preaching, and theme verse so that there is a common thread throughout the service. Connect with Becky.
Tracker Organ
Our Sanctuary organ is a combination mechanical (tracker) and electronic instrument with three major divisions (33 ranks, 1680 pipes) and a three-manual console. Connect with Allan.
Music @ Wesley Series
A series of chamber, choral, piano, and organ concerts are held in our Sanctuary throughout the year.
