It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Lisa M. Jacobsen, 42, of Moore Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township. She was the wife of Christopher R. Jacobsen. The couple would have celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary in October.
Born in Suffern, New York, she was a daughter of Audrey V. (Smith) Viglianti and husband, Anthony, of Moore Township, and Thomas W. Scharpf and wife, Kathleen, of Palmerton. Lisa was a graduate of Northampton High School, Class of 1997, and Allentown Business School where she earned a certificate in Graphic Design. She was an information analyst and served in various other positions at Aetna, where she was employed for more than 20 years. Strongly spiritual, Lisa was a faithful and active member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bethlehem; she was highly involved in the technology team and Backpack Program. Service to others and the community were also important to her. From youth to adulthood, Lisa was very active in Girl and Cub Scouts; she was a service unit manager, a national delegate and troop leader for Palmerton Girl Scouts. She also served as a den leader for Cub Scout Pack 50, Moorestown. Additionally, Lisa was active in her residential community at Hickory Hills, serving on the Social Committee. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and crafts.
Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Chris, and her parents, she will be dearly missed by her children, Jasmine Jacobsen of Allentown, and Elijah Jacobsen at home; a stepson, Brenton Jacobsen of Wind Gap; a grandson, Isaiah; two sisters, Victoria Weiseman and husband, Mike, of Moore Township, and Nikita Rivera and husband, Tim, of Allentown; parents-in-law, Roger and Susan (Meyer) Jacobsen, of Davenport, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Adam Jacobsen and wife, Chelcey, of Davenport, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Shawna Heintz and husband, Brian, of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces and nephews; and a great-nephew.
Services: A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Wesley United Methodist Church, 2540 Center Street, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday morning from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in church. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Moorestown. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Wesley United Methodist Church.
