On November 3, we took a special communion offering for UMCOR (the United Methodist Committee on Relief) to aid in their hurricane relief efforts in the Bahamas. Together, we raised $550 to aid in those relief efforts! As you may know, 100% of funds donated to UMCOR go directly to the cause. Thank you for generously supporting the needs of our neighbors in the Bahamas during this difficult time.

A little over 12 years ago, when my father-in-law passed away, we realized that it was time to update our wills. The attorney we had been dealing with shared that he had made a decision to leave a tithe to his church when he died. He asked if that was something we wanted to consider. We thought that was a wonderful idea and wondered why we had never heard or thought about that before. We now have a line in our wills that leaves 10% of our estate to Wesley United Methodist Church.
Have you ever thought about leaving a legacy gift to your church?

Crisfield Mission Trip Update:
The Finance Team wishes to join you in celebrating Wesley’s support of this mission. Our DS asked Wesley Church for a $500 commitment towards a district mission trip to Crisfield, Maryland, partnering with two local churches in that area to aid in rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Sandy. Pastor Candy pledged $50, and the members of the finance team pledged to do the same. The team challenged our church to double the DS’s original request and raise $1000.
When Pastor Candy presented this challenge to the congregation, you responded with a gift that totaled $1416. This is a positive and wonderful response and we thank you for your generosity!
Thank you and generous blessings,
The Finance Team
