Bible Text: 2 Corinthians 4:3-6 and Mark 9:2-9
Theme: Thinking along the lines of some of the house makeover shows where, at the end, the reveal of a rebuilt house is offered (remember “Move that bus!”?), perhaps we might understand the transfiguration as a reveal. Jesus’ reveal for sure. However, I believe Corinthians points toward what is necessary for each of us – that we see Jesus for who he really is. And even we have done that, maybe there’s a bit of cleaning up or rebuilding in our lives as Jesus reveals himself in us. Is it time for a spiritual house makeover resulting in a revealing of Jesus in our lives once again – new and better than ever?
