New Announcement: Christmas Photo Collage
In just a few weeks, you’ll probably be digging boxes of decorations out of storage and decking your halls and homes for Christmas. Do your Christmas decorations include a nativity scene? If so, snap a photo of your family nativity scene and send it to Pastor Candy via email to be included in a church-wide photo collage. Photos are due by Friday, December 6.
Giving Tree

Debbie Ace and her sister Betty created a non-profit to honor their mother’s memory called Mammy’s Angels. Wesley Church is partnering with their charity to help families in need have a better Christmas. There are over 100 names on their Christmas list. Here are 3 ways you can help support this ministry and bring the joy of Christmas to some folks who could really use it.
- Shop Boscov’s registry and have the items shipped right to the church.
- Shop Amazon’s wish list and have the items shipped to church.
- Look over sign-up genius and chose a person to help. Chose your own gifts and shop at your own stores.
*** Do you enjoy wrapping Christmas presents? We need some little elves to help get the gifts ready for families to pick up. Let Debbie Ace or Sue Kiefner know if you can help. You can wrap the gifts in your home, or a small group of individuals can wrap them together in Fellowship Hall. We have 32 families that need help, so there will be much to wrap!

Christmas Eve Services
This year, as an act of care and concern for our community in the midst of COVID-tide, our Christmas Eve services at Wesley Church will be online only. We’ll offer two worship experiences:
- 6:00 PM Zoom Worship – an interactive service designed for those who are longing for the face-to-face connections and energy of Christmas Eve (note: you can utilize Zoom through video chat on a computer / smartphone / tablet, or through a voice-only phone option from any mobile phone or landline)
- 8:00 PM Facebook Live Worship – a livestream service designed for those who are longing for the beloved traditions of Christmas Eve (note: you do not need a Facebook account to access a Facebook Livestream)
Both services will include traditional and contemporary music, and will end with candlelight. Here is a survey to find out your preference for worship.
Luminaria Night at Wesley Church

This year, on December 12th, we will be setting up Luminaria in our driveway. For those of you who don’t know, this is a Bethlehem tradition started by New Bethany Ministries to help light the darkest time for those in need. All proceeds from the luminaries go to New Bethany Ministries but the light from the candles brings hope to anyone who sees them. They’re quite lovely and this will be our first year to participate as a church. Here is the link to more information that you can also share with friends and family. I’m excited to see the turnout, and you’re welcome to add luminaria to your own driveways and sidewalks as well. Order yours here. Have questions? Connect with Deb Silliman.
