Sunday, April 22: “A Greater Gift”
Fourth Sunday of Easter, Earth Day Recognition
Job 38:1-7,16-18 and John 1:1-14
Our favorite seminary student Becky Sausser is going to talk about how God’s greatest proof for His existence can be found in creation, and the greatest proof of his love can be found in Jesus. Acknowledge Earth Day at Wesley Church!
Returning to an issue our church identified at the beginning of last year, love is the number one identified value at Wesley. Yet it must have some parameters. How do we define love in the sense of being in (non-romantic) relationship with one another? One thing is for sure: There is no love for God if there is no love for brother and sister. Join us as we consider: “What’s Love Got to Do with It?”
Sunday, April 15: “A Greater Gift”
Third Sunday of Easter
Acts 3:12-19 and 4:5-12
What is the greatest gift you have ever given? What if you could make a lame person walk again? Wouldn’t that be something? That would be a terrific gift! How about giving some money away? Nice gift, too. But Peter had something greater to give than money or miracles.
