Wesley Church Prayer Shawl Ministry
- Prayer Shawl Knitters
- 10 AM, first Saturday of each month
- 12:30 PM, third Wednesday of each month
- Prayer Shawl meeting will be held twice each month in Room 204. Mark your calendars.
We meet several times a month to create knitted and crocheted shawls for babies and adults who are baptized, and for adults who are facing surgery. Every person entering the Hospice center of the Visiting Nurses Association of St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem receives a Prayer Shawl.
Any woman interested in knitting or crocheting a Prayer Shawl at home — who cannot come at our first Saturday and third Wednesday meeting times — please know you are invited to make shawls at home! You can use your own yarn, or you can get supplies from our white cabinet in Room 204. We use only washable yarn that has no wool or any animal hairs — to avoid allergy problems.
You can bring your finished shawl to put it in the white cabinet, with your name on it – and we can attach a prayer gift card that we put on every shawl.
Please call Bob Keiderling if you have any questions.
